My name is Thomas Konstantinidis. I was born in Preveza in 1976 and I have been painting intensively since 2020.
My work is in logistics — it takes planning, precision, and nothing left to chance. In painting, on the other hand, the unpredictable is not a problem.
I started without any school. I took freehand drawing classes for one semester in 2016, with pencils and also oils, then I left it.
In 2020 I started working intensively with acrylics and I have not stopped since. I do something almost every day, and the days in the last six years when I did not touch a brush or draw can be counted on my fingers. I do not do it out of discipline, I simply…. cannot not do it. I have reached 110 finished works.
I work in two directions that I do not see as opposites. On one side the figurative: faces, animals, water — things that ask you to sit and look until you understand them. On the other the abstract, where what interests me most is colour, and how two colours change each other when they are placed side by side. The two paths often meet inside the same painting.
